Our friendship with Jim started when we both attended Defiance College. In recent years we renewed our friendship when attending DC Homecoming and Kappa Fraternity activities and gatherings. Also, meeting and visiting at the DC Reunion at the Underwood's in Marysville. Jim always had a wonderful smile when we would meet at these functions.

Jim will be missed by us and the many friends he had over the years.

Dear Marilyn and family,
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I can just see Jim up there in that heavenly choir sitting next to mom ( Marguerite) singing. He had a beautiful voice and I can remember him singing" The Ivory Tower" song on TV when we were just kids. He will be missed.

Our very dear friends Marilyn & Young Jimmy:
We are thinking of you during this difficult time .Our family feels so fortunate to have known Jim, who was such a great part of all of our lives. Dad & Mom cherished so many years of going to OSU football games in the Buckeye Van. How Dad enjoyed those days and many other times with Jim, one of Dad's closest lifelong friends. My brother Jim was sharing with me, wonderful memories he had with Jim going to sporting events also. He was such a gentleman & pure joy to be around. He had such a beautiful voice & I can still hear him singing the " Star Spangled Banner" when I close my eyes. Please know how we loved Jim and will always have our great memories of him close to our hearts. May God be with you always. Love, Jeanie Otis Hamm & kids

Marilyn & family,
I had the pleasure of working with Jim for many years as a co-worker at Phelan Insurance Agency and he was the agency field rep for a number of years. What a gentleman he was! Always upbeat and very caring. He was very proud of his family and I always enjoyed talking with him. I am sure all of you will miss him very much.
Marilyn, we will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Jim and Steph
My sympathies to your family. I know we talked about our Dad's probably crossing paths in the insurance business with Celina Group and Central Mutual Insurance etc. I know we both have fond memories of both our Dad's that were great role models, never met a stranger and loved life. May their legacy continue..your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
