Carl Buck, age 90, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 8:40a.m. on Sunday April 27, 2014 at the Celina Manor in Celina. He was born on March 7, 1924 in Celina, Ohio to the late Carl & Blanche (West) Buck. On April 4, 1953 he married Norma Jean Kuhn, who died on Feb. 7, 2012. Survivors include his daughter Lynn Kay (Rick) Krogman of Celina, two grandchildren Amanda & Mitch McGee and Drew Krogman, great granddaughter Myra McGee and his sister Marjorie Miesse of Celina. He was preceded in death by his sisters & brother-in-law Iola & Frank Schuck, Berniece & Elmer Germann, Beatrice Miller, Mildred & Glen Willrath, Burnice Buck, Robert Miesse and his brothers Herschel & Dorothy Buck , Leondis & Ruth Buck and Donald Buck. Carl graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1942. Then Carl served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Europe until 1946. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina and a member of the Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F & AM. Carl retired as a welder from General Dynamics in Lima. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan, enjoyed his Cincinnati Reds and reading a good book. Carl donated his body to the Ohio State Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held at 7:00p.m. Thursday May 1, 2014 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. His committal will be in North Grove Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 2-7p.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 7:00p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina or State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.
