Phyllis J. O'Brien, age 83 of Celina, passed away at 7:55a.m. On Thursday May 21, 2015, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina. Phyllis was born on April 7, 1932, in Campbellstown, Ohio to the late Earl M. and Glenna J. (Rowland) Rodgers. On Sept. 24, 1952 she married Thomas O'Brien, who is died on Sept. 9, 2005. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law Kathleen & Gregory Haidet of Dublin, three grandchildren Michelle Haidet of Chicago, Stephanie Haidet of Los Angeles, CA., Rachel Haidet of San Diego, CA., sister Margaret Smith of New Madison brothers & sisters-in-law; Mark & Janet Phillips of Richmond, Indiana and James & Diana Phillips of Connersville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her son David O'Brien and her sister Earlene & Howard Thomas and her brother-in-law Ralph Smith. Phyllis graduated from the Greenville High School with the Class of 1950. She attended Earlham College in Richmond, IN. Then she worked at the graduate School at The Ohio State University, was employed at the First National Bank in Celina and retired as the owner & general manager of Ohio Marine in Celina, after 21 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina and a member of the Celina Senior Citizens. She loved playing bridge and board games with her family. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday May 25, 2015 in North Grove Cemetery in Celina, with Rev. Matt Reynolds officiating.
