Alice E. Rose, age 70, of 221 Circle Dr, St. Henry Ohio, died 01:10 AM on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at her home. She was born June 06, 1941 in St. Henry, Ohio to the late John and Loretta (Huelskamp) Gehle. On May 30, 1964 she married Thomas J. Rose in St. Henry, Ohio and he survives in St. Henry. Alice is also survived by three daughters, Karen & Dennis Schwieterman of Portland, IN, Linda & John Barr of Fairborn, Ohio and Diane & Joe Hoover of St. Henry, Ohio, six grandchildren: Justin, Scott & Eric Schwieterman, Amber & Kevin Barr and Titus Hoover, three sisters Mary Artz of Huber Heights, Ohio, Helen Dues of St. Henry, Ohio and Marilyn & Dale Fisher of Piqua, Ohio and two sisters-in-law, Rita Gehle and Mary Alice Bruns both of St. Henry, Ohio. She is preceded in death by a grandson Caleb Hoover, siblings Richard & Audrey Gehle, Wilbert "Wib" Gehle, Edward & Florentine Gehle, Cecilia & Walter Compton, Irene & Richard Kerschner, Clara & William Smart, 6 infant brothers and brothers-in-law Walter Dues, Edward Artz, Martin Mott & Donald Bruns. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the ladies Altar Rosary Sodality. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Henry High School and sold Avon Products for 30 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, Ohio, with Rev. Thomas Hemm C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery, St. Henry Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-St. Henry on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
